FORT MYERS, Fla. – March 18, 2015 – Pushing the Envelope is pleased to announce Beacon of HOPE as the recipient of its 2015 Push-it-Forward Grant. Ten applications were considered from a variety of nonprofit organizations that support and make a difference in the Southwest Florida community.
“The Push-It-Forward Grant is all about giving back and helping others succeed,” said Samantha Scott, APR, President and Owner of Pushing the Envelope. “Our team spent a lot of time reviewing these applications and felt that Beacon of HOPE most closely aligns with our values and dedication to ‘push-it-forward’.”
The Beacon of HOPE mission is “Helping Our People Excel”. With their small staff, dedicated Board of Directors and more than 300 volunteers, Beacon of HOPE provides a range of free services, including case management and counseling, GED classes, after school and summer mentoring programs, wellness program, employment assistance, tax preparation and community theater; they also serve more than 7,000 free meals each year. The Push-it-Forward Grant was created in 2015 as a way to provide a local, non-profit organization based in Lee, Collier and/or Charlotte County with 10 marketing and public relations service hours for a project that they would otherwise be unable to afford.
